Brides who visit the studio often ask: why don’t you retouch the photos to make the dresses look better online? It has never occurred to us to do it.

What a real photograph shows you

Left as they are, the photographs let you see the stitching, the actual fabric and the real shape. You decide to order based on what you will genuinely receive, not on a picture that has been worked on.

Why we keep to it

A great many brides tell us afterwards that the dress looks even better in person than in the photographs. That is exactly the reason we work this way: so the gap between the picture and the finished dress always falls in your favour.

Which photographs you get

When the dress is finished, before it is packed, we photograph it and send it to you. That is the finished-garment photograph — the dress as it is, exactly as it will reach you. We do not send progress photographs from each stage of the making, because a half-finished dress says nothing reliable about the finished one.

And if you are far away

If you are abroad you cannot come and handle the fabric, so we make up for it on a video call: the material goes in front of the camera so you can see how it falls, how it catches the light and what colour it really is, and we choose together from there. The principle is the same — you see the real thing, not a version of it that has been made prettier.

When the dress is finished, before it is packed, we photograph it and send you those pictures: the finished dress, not stages of production. So the pictures you see before your dress leaves are just as unretouched as the ones on this site.
