Angela Tran lives in Canada. From the first conversations it was clear she knew what she wanted: nothing elaborate, but elegant — and above all comfortable enough to actually enjoy the day.
Why satin silk
LAM’S suggested a fine satin silk. It falls softly, carries a natural sheen and catches the light well, and it skims the body rather than gripping it. A simple boat neck, short sleeves and a gently flared skirt kept the dress somewhere between modern and classic.
Measuring from Canada
LAM’S talked her through taking detailed measurements herself, and sent photographs and video as the dress progressed so she could see it taking shape. Working this way asks for coordination and trust from both sides. The dress was sewn to her measurements and sent to Canada.
How the dress was agreed
On video calls we advised on designs and showed Angela fabrics on camera; the design and the cost were then settled in messages. We send measuring instructions with pictures and take the measurements together with you on a video call; in some cases we ask you to measure again so the two sets can be checked against each other. The pattern is cut for your measurements alone, never from a stock shape, and the dress is sewn exactly to them with no extra fabric left for later alterations — which is why measuring is the most important step.
From Saigon to Canada
When the dress is finished, before it is packed, we photograph it and send you those pictures: the finished dress, not stages of production. It is folded in layers with anti-crease padding, wrapped against moisture and sent with a carrier chosen for that route, with a tracking number. If something feels off when you first put it on, it is most often the way the dress is being worn, so we guide you through wearing it correctly first and fine-tune only if it is still needed.
