This is the question we are asked most, and the one we most often have to say no to: “I’m getting married in three weeks — can you make it in time?”
The honest answer
No. And not only wedding dresses: in high season we cannot take a rush order even for an áo dài or a day dress.
To give you a sense of scale — the dresses we are working on for the end of the year were ordered at the beginning of July, and the book beyond that is already full into the following spring. Message us with your own date and we will tell you exactly where you would fall.
Why it takes that long
A made-to-measure dress goes through pattern drafting, cutting, assembly, and several rounds of trying and correcting. Building the shape in paper alone takes one to two days. Taking a rush order means dropping steps — and every step you drop makes the dress fit a little less well.
So if you like what we do, write early
Ordering early costs you nothing. Ordering late can mean there is no space left. Send us your wedding date and we will tell you straight away whether it works.
Why distance adds time
For brides abroad we do not take rush orders at all: the schedule is counted back from your wedding date. Part of that time goes into the measurements. We send measuring instructions with pictures and take the measurements together with you on a video call; in some cases we ask you to measure again so the two sets can be checked against each other. The pattern is cut for your measurements alone, never from a stock shape, and the dress is sewn exactly to them with no extra fabric left for later alterations — which is why measuring is the most important step. Then there is shipping: it is folded in layers with anti-crease padding, wrapped against moisture and sent with a carrier chosen for that route, with a tracking number.
