Custom Wedding Dresses for Brides in Canada — Made Online

English · Online made-to-measure · Canada

Brides in Canada have had their wedding dresses made at LAM’S without ever coming to the studio — the design agreed over video, the measurements taken at home, the finished dress flown over.

On your time zoneVietnam runs 11 to 15 hours ahead of Canada, depending on the province and the season. We fix calls around your evening or your morning, and usually answer the same day.
Tracked all the wayPacked to hold its shape, padded against creasing and wrapped against moisture. You get a tracking number and we follow it with you until it arrives.
Unretouched photosThe finished dress is photographed exactly as it is — no brightening, no smoothing — and sent to you before it is packed.

What brides in Canada have had made at LAM’S

Two dresses made for brides in Canada, photographed exactly as they were.

Angela’s dress, chosen from CanadaNothing elaborate, but elegant — and comfortable enough to enjoy the day. Why satin silk, and how the measuring worked from that far away.
The dress that would not fit the mannequinWhen it was finished, it would not go on the stand. Inconvenient — and the best evidence that it was built around one specific body.

How we measure a bride in Canada

  1. Message. Tell us your wedding date, where you live and the first picture you have in mind. Nothing has to be decided yet.
  2. Video call. We talk through the styles and turn the camera onto the fabrics so you see them yourself. We are used to the 11 to 15 hour gap and will fix a time that suits your day, not ours.
  3. Measure at home. We send an illustrated guide, then measure together on a call so the tape sits where it should. You need one person to help and a soft tape measure.
  4. Sew and send. A pattern drafted to your measurements alone. The finished dress is photographed unretouched for you to see before it is packed.

The full eight steps, from the first message to after the wedding, are set out on the online made-to-measure page.

What you will need

  • A soft tape measure — the sewing kind, not a metal builder’s tape.
  • Someone to help you measure. Measuring alone goes wrong easily at the waist and the back length.
  • The shoes you will wear on the day, or shoes of the same heel height.
  • Photos of you standing straight, front and side, in close-fitting clothes.
  • A few reference images you love — Pinterest, Instagram, photographs of other brides.

What brides in Canada ask us

If I never try it on, how do you know it will fit?

The dress is sewn to the measurements you send, with no seam allowance left for later alterations. That is exactly why we are so careful at the measuring stage: a detailed guide, the measurements taken together on a video call, and sometimes a second round to cross-check.

And if it does not fit?

Most of the time it is the way the dress is being put on — every style has its own way of being worn, so we walk you through that first. If something still needs changing, we adjust. Send us photos and a video of the fitting and we look at it with you straight away. This is also why the sewing schedule is counted backwards from the wedding, to leave room.

How far ahead of the wedding should I order?

The earlier the easier, for both of us. Message us with your wedding date and we will tell you straight away whether there is time. We do not take rush orders from brides abroad.

Will the dress be held at Canadian customs?

We declare everything properly and use couriers who know the route. You have a tracking number from the moment the dress leaves the studio, and we follow it alongside you until it is delivered.

It begins with a message

Write to us on whichever channel suits you — we answer on the same one. We are used to the 11 to 15 hour gap and will fix a time that suits your day, not ours. The first conversation costs you nothing but a message.
