Choosing the lace from far away
Lace is hard to judge through a screen, which is why our video calls are for more than measuring. We put fabrics and samples in front of the camera and talk through which lace suits a bride’s frame. The design and the cost are then settled in messages — and the person answering them is the person who sews the dress, because the owner of the studio makes every dress herself.
Why we are careful with the measurements
Each dress is drafted from its own pattern, cut to the bride’s measurements rather than a stock block, and sewn with no allowance left to let out later. So the measuring decides most of the outcome. We send an illustrated guide, measure together on a video call, and sometimes ask for a second measurement to cross-check. If a finished dress does not feel right, it is usually the way it is being put on, so we walk the bride through that first and only adjust afterwards.
Timing and shipping to Japan
We do not take rush orders for brides abroad; the schedule is counted backwards from the wedding date to leave room for shipping.
