So many brides write to us with the same sentence: “I live too far away — can you still make my dress?” LAM’S has made and shipped wedding dresses to brides in the United States, Germany, Australia, Canada, Japan, Korea, Spain and Russia. It is still real made-to-measure work — a pattern drafted for your body alone — only every meeting happens on a screen. Here is the whole journey, so you know what you are walking into.

The online made-to-measure journey
Step 1 · Message
Write to us wherever is easiest for you
You message LAM’S on whatever channel you already use, and we answer on that same channel. Tell us your wedding date, where you live, and the first picture you have in mind. Nothing has to be decided yet.
Usually answered the same day, time zones included
Step 2 · Video call
A consultation, face to face on screen
We talk you through the styles and turn the camera onto the fabrics so you can see them with your own eyes. Ask anything — which shape suits your figure, what works for your venue, which material behaves how.
Scheduled around your time zone
Step 3 · Measuring
Taking your measurements at home, with us beside you
We send you an illustrated measuring guide, then take the measurements together on a video call so we know the tape is sitting exactly where it should. You will need one person to help and a soft tape measure.
Sometimes we ask you to measure a second time, to cross-check
Step 4 · Confirming
The design agreed, the deposit placed
Design, fabric, timing and cost are all confirmed in writing between you and LAM’S. Ask everything you want to ask at this step — we answer all of it before you place a deposit.
Step 5 · Pattern
Your own pattern, then the sewing begins
Every dress gets a pattern of its own, drafted to the measurements you just sent — never pulled from a stock block. The dress is then sewn to those measurements, which is why the measuring step is the most important one of the whole journey.
This is why we do not take rush orders from brides abroad
Step 6 · Finished photos
You see the dress before the dress travels
When it is finished we photograph it exactly as it is — no brightening, no smoothing, no retouching — and send the photos to you before it is packed. What you see is what will come out of the box.
Unedited photographs, the dress as it really is
Step 7 · Shipping
Packed to hold its shape, then sent
Folded in layers, padded against creasing, wrapped against moisture. The courier is chosen for your particular route. You get a tracking number, and we follow it alongside you until the dress is in your hands.
The sewing schedule is always counted backwards from your wedding date
Step 8 · Wedding day
And we are still here afterwards
You receive the dress and try it on. We show you how to press it, how to hang it, how to store it after the day. If something is not right, message us — we are still there.

Where are you?
Each route has its own shipping schedule and its own hours for a call. Choose where you live to see what brides there have had made at LAM’S.

LAM’S has also sent dresses to brides in Germany, Japan, Korea, Spain and Russia. If your country is not on the list, write anyway — the process is the same.
What you will need
- A soft tape measure. The sewing kind — not a metal builder’s tape.
- Someone to help you measure. Measuring alone goes wrong easily at the waist and at the back length.
- The shoes you will wear on the day, or shoes of the same heel height, so we get the length of the dress right.
- Photos of you standing straight, from the front and from the side, in close-fitting clothes. We use them to cross-check the measurements.
- A few reference images you love — Pinterest, Instagram, or photographs of other brides. All of it helps.
Not sure where the tape goes? Our step-by-step guide shows each of the 8 measurements on the body, and gives you a printable sheet to fill in while you measure.
What brides ask us most
If I never try it on, how do you know it will fit?
The dress is sewn to the measurements you send, with no seam allowance left for later alterations. That is exactly why we are so careful at the measuring stage: a detailed guide, the measurements taken together on a video call, and sometimes a second round to cross-check. Accurate measurements are the condition for a dress that fits.
And if it does not fit?
Most of the time it is the way the dress is being put on. Every style has its own way of being worn, so we will walk you through that first. If something still needs changing after that, we adjust. Send us photos and a video of the fitting and we will look at it with you straight away. This is also why the sewing schedule is always counted backwards from the wedding, to leave room.
How far ahead of the wedding should I order?
The earlier the easier, for both of us. Message us with your wedding date and we will tell you straight away whether there is time.
Will the dress be held at customs?
We declare everything properly and use couriers who know the route. You have a tracking number from the moment the dress leaves the studio.

It begins with a message
Write to us on whichever channel suits you — we answer on the same one. We are used to working across time zones, and the first conversation costs you nothing but a message.
